HAWK System

In the HAWK System course, students learn how their body reacts to stress, stress’s physiological impact, and what can be done to help reduce its impact.

In this, our foundational course, we explain how the body reacts to stress, stress’s physiological impact, and what students can do to help reduce its impact. The tools we provide to prevent stress include breathing exercises that help counteract physiological responses.

Once we have taught students how to identify the signs of stress and how to deal with it, we move on to teach them how to apply specific tools in stressful situations that can help them better control their reactions under stress.

Students will also learn how to effectively interact with others who are experiencing stress, are agitated, are verbally abusive, or are becoming aggressive. This is not a lecture ,but an interactive hands-on form of training that actively involves all participants.

We believe that the material conveyed in our hands-on courses cannot be effectively delivered in a passive format such as on a DVD or online course.  To confirm this point, consider how you effectively learn a new skill.

Take tennis, for example.  If you were wanting to learn to play, which would be a most effective teaching tool -  a DVD, training video or book, or training with a tennis pro on an actual tennis court? If you are looking to provide the bare minimum, simply requiring your employees to endure a 30 minute video on violence awareness, then the HAWK System is definitely not a fit for you.

We also offer and recommend our Supplemental Training for Managers or Resource Personnel so your company can get the most out of the training long after it ends.
