Our training begins with the HAWK System which is both a comprehensive course and the foundation upon which our other courses are built. If you want to start with a Workplace Violence Assessment first we can help you with that as well.
In the HAWK System course students learn how their body reacts to stress, its physiological impact and what they can do to help reduce its impact.
Next they will learn specific tools they can apply to better control their reactions under stress.
They will also learn how to effectively interact with others who may be under stress and unaware of their own level of aggression.
In this more advanced course, participants learn effective strategies and tools they can employ when they encounter situations in the workplace or their own daily life where they are confronted with a potentially violent individual.
In this course we address the variety of psychological profiles you may encounter and how each is unique, requiring a specific approach to effectively diffuse the situation.
In order to ensure those who have attended our training have an internal resource for support related to the course, we have created an additional module to provide managers, supervisors, or HR coordinators with supplemental training on how to prolong the retention of the subject matter.
This is not a “Train the Trainer” module, but a venue for us to help convey coaching tools to those who are responsible for coordinating this and any future training.
HAWK Courses build upon one another, beginning with courses that address prevention of everyday stress, continuing to courses about dealing with more aggressive verbal confrontations, and advancing to courses that teach physical self defense.
